Hollyhocks are one of the classic English cottage garden plants; loved by all for the wonderful display they produce. They are perfect to fill large areas, or the back of a flowerbed and the flowers are highly attractive to butterflies and bees. Seeds sown in January will flower that year but will also reliably return as a perennial.
